An 18-week parenting course that
is offered at Open Door Baptist Church in January every
year. The church has been presenting the course since
1995, with life-changing results in countless numbers of
families. Steve and Andrea D’Amico facilitate the class
with teaching through DVDs, class workbooks, class
discussion and practical application. Each week provides
workable principles from God’s Word that can be utilized
in today’s family to bring about peace and harmony in
the home and in the marriage relationship. No stone is
left unturned!
The classes take place on Sunday
nights from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sunday school
building at the church. For families with children from
ages 5 to 12, we offer a program, “Patch the Pirate”,
during the time of the class. This is a Biblically based
Club with singing, skits, fun activities and daily
devotions. For children ages 3 and 4, we have a class
that coincides with the Growing Kid’s course. So when
adults are learning a principal, your children will be
learning the same principal adaptable to their age.
There are games, coloring and stories to help with this
instruction. For children ages 2 and under, our nursery
is provided. The cost of the course is $45 per
couple. You will receive two workbooks, many handouts
and lots of instruction on what the Bible has to say
about raising families.
